Weekly Update of Lansing High School Students Enrolled in KCKCC PCC - Culinary
Lansing USD 469 is proud to highlight our Lansing High School students and graduates enrolled in Kansas City Kansas Community Center Pioneer Career Center (KCKCC PCC) each week.
CULINARY
Lansing student: Francisco Verzola
Sushi
Foods III students created five different types of sushi rolls. The students made a California roll, tempura veggie roll, tempura shrimp roll, dragon roll and Philadelphia roll. The students also made three sauces with varying degree of heat from wasabi paste.
Chopped KCKCC-PCC Style
Foods III students had four teams of two competing. The basket of ingredients was pork butt, clams, cilantro and raw pie crust.
The winning team of Francisco and Sebastian created spicy pork and clam pasta.
The runners-up were Lily and Morgan who made spicy pork and clam soup using fish stock. Anneliese and Gracie made spicy pork, clam and veggie sauce served over rice and Annastatia and Hajanae created a spicy pork and clam pocket.
