Lansing High School Senior Student Council Organizes Fundraiser for Leavenworth County Humane Society
Lansing USD469 is incredibly proud of our senior class, who organized a fundraiser this school year that generated $1,513.93 for Leavenworth County Humane Society (LCHS). Student Council seniors Khushi Patel and BrooklynnCorral led the effort to have the Lansing High School Career and College Readiness (CCR) classes collect and donate their spare change for the cause.
Student Council members, led by sponsors Wes Cackler and Patti Boe-Cackler, turned the fundraiser into a competition to see which class could generate the most donations. Mrs. Matthews's CCR won, earning them a pizza and ice cream party.
Miss Patel, Miss Corral, and junior Niklas Schintgen, who also helped organize the cause, delivered the check to LCHS on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
The students want to encourage our community members to consider donating to LCHS. They also are always in need of volunteers. They encourage students ages 12 - 18 to volunteer (parent must be present).
Their current wish list is:
WONDERFUL WORK, LANSING LIONS!
