Lansing Early Childhood Students Experience Spooky Science Thanks to Grant from Lansing Educational Foundation
Lansing Early Childhood participated in their 2nd annual Spooky Science thanks to the Lansing Education Foundation Grant titled "Nurturing Every Child's Curiosity Through Science." The grant, written by Crystal Alexander and Jess Garner, allowed students to experience stations with Flying Bats, Pumpkin Volcanoes, Spider Web Painting, and Exploding Ghosts. Students experimented with magnets, cause and effect, and enjoyed sensory exploration with a spooky twist. The grant allowed staff to purchase items such as magnetic wands, eye droppers, baking soda, and food coloring to enrich the new classroom curriculum, as well as unity and activity days such as this one.
