Question: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and the role you have within the school district?
Answer: Before moving to the Lansing area and accepting a position in USD 469, I worked in the Rock Creek School District for 13 years. My first 13 years were spent as a Special Education teacher. My first year at Lansing was also spent as a Special Education teacher before becoming a 5th grade teacher. I have spent the last 13 years working with 5th grade students.

Answer: I enjoy getting to know my students each year and discovering their individual personalities. This allows me to provide the best learning environment to meet all of their learning needs.
Question: When you're not working, what hobbies or activities do you enjoy?
Answer: When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my husband and girls. We have three girls, two that have graduated from Lansing and one junior at the high school. I spend a lot of time attending sporting events for my youngest daughter. When I have free time I like to work with plants, DIY craft projects, and watch football with the family.
Question: What is something unusual about you that most people don't know?
Answer: My family and I moved here from a Hobby Farm outside of Manhattan, Kansas (Go K-State!). We had a large pond, chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats, and Great Danes. Moving into town was quite a change of pace.
