Clerk's Office News

Your Clerk’s Office has been working hard to prepare for the upcoming Presidential Primary election. About five thousand election related pieces of mail have been processed through the clerk’s office in the last three weeks. These mailings explained: early voting procedures, the new permanent ballot list, absentee voter application ballot selection and the creation of an early voting site at the township hall.

Of the 846 absentee voter applications sent out in late December one hundred seventy-three have returned to date. Currently one hundred fifty voters have elected to be on the permanent ballot list. If you would like to be added to the list, please contact the Clerk for information.

There are two thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight registered voters in our township. If you are a resident who needs to register to vote, you can do so in multiple ways. Come into the clerk’s office on Tuesday or Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through February fourteen. Registration is also open during early voting from February seventeen through the twenty-fifth from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Finally, residents can register on election day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The deadline to register at other locations: Michigan Voter Information Center (MVIC) at mvic.sos.state.mi.us, by going to vote.gov/register/mi, or typing register to vote in Michigan in any Internet browser is February 12.

Information and forms are available on the Clerk’s page of the township website: conwaymi.gov.

Respectfully,

Elizabeth Whitt
