Every year, the Governor’s Office, the Iowa High School Athletic Association, and title sponsor Iowa Farm Bureau honor Iowa’s top academic senior students. This recognition began in 2003, and we’re proud to continue the tradition to honor students’ hard work, dedication, and perseverance. All students receive a recognition plaque and certificate to commemorate their achievement.

Students are chosen by their high schools as the highest academic achievers. Nicole Sherer was the recipient of the Governor's Scholar Award for the 2023 school year, representing Woodbine Community School.  Congratulations to Nicole!!!
