Lansing USD469 Shows Appreciation to our Teachers During the Weeks of May 1st and May 8th!
The weeks of May 1 and May 8 were designated as Teacher Appreciation Weeks in Lansing USD469, and parents, staff, and various groups organized a variety of events to show appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
At Lansing Elementary and Intermediate Schools, the PTA took the lead in organizing special events for the week of May 1. Every day, the teachers were surprised with something special, such as flowers, grab-and-go snacks and drinks, and goodie bags. On Thursday, May 4, PTA partnered with The Depot in Leavenworth to provide breakfast for all staff. There were also gift basket prize drawings each day.
The district office also showed appreciation for teachers by visiting each building to deliver gift bags to the teachers. The gift bags included various items, such as chips, granola bars, mints, and candy.
The Middle and High School School Site Councils also showed appreciation for the teachers during both weeks. They organized and provided treats for the teachers.
