Celebrate Read Across America Week in Lansing USD469!
Lansing USD is thrilled to participate in Read Across America week from March 4 - March 8th! The actual Read Across America Day is traditionally celebrated on March 2, which will be a Saturday in 2024. We will have guest readers in the younger grades and are encouraging students and staff to celebrate with a theme each day:
FOR ELEMENTARY, INTERMEDIATE, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL:
Mash-Up Monday - March 4th
- Lorax - Wear a mustache
- Book of Colors - Wear as many colors as you can
- Daisy-Head Mayzie - Crazy Hair
Royal Reading Tuesday - March 5th
- Wear a tiara, crown, or hat (or dress as royalty).
Wild About Reading Wednesday - March 6th
- Wear animal print or neon colors
I Am NOT Going To Get Up Today Thursday - March 7th
- Wear your pajamas or comfy clothes
Oh, The Places You'll Go Friday - March 8th
- Career or College Day- Dress like what you want to be when you grow up, or wear a college shirt.
LANSING EARLY CHILDHOOD WILL PARTICIPATE WITH THE FOLLOWING THEMES:
MONDAY, March 4th
- Bring a stuffed buddy
TUESDAY, March 5th - Fox and Socks
- Wear crazy socks
WEDNESDAY, March 6th - Going on a Lion Hunt
- Wear camo
THURSDAY, March 7th - Rainbow Fish
- Wear sparkle and shine
